Mary Meehan , a Sister for Christian Community, was ordained a Roman Catholic
priest on July 31st, 2006 in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Meehan was one of eight women
ordained by three women bishops who had been ordained by Roman Catholic male
bishops in full Apostolic Succession and in full communion with the pope.
These ordinations are valid and historic, the first in the United States. |
